Why is binding required?

Pile foundation is always preferable when it comes to timber and frame buildings. In addition, it is relevant for non-standard characteristics of the soil, in different climatic zones up to the Far North regions.

Its advantages are:

  • application in severe weather conditions and on difficult grounds;
  • the ability to use with different types of terrain;
  • long service life (up to 100 years);
  • quick and easy installation;
  • affordable cost unlike other types of foundation.

The advantage of this design is also considered to be the absence of excavation work, since the piles are screwed into the ground for a strictly calculated freezing depth at certain intervals.

After this binding becomes a mandatory step. It depends on it the reliability and durability of the structure, and hence the durability.

The upper part of the pile foundation is necessary for hardening the structure, so the grillage is usually erected.

Its main functions are:

  • is a support for the walls and floors of the basement;
  • serves to evenly distribute the load between the piles;

  • With the help of a measuring tape, the accuracy of the geometry of the structure is checked, after which the timber is fixed to the piles with platforms with screws 150 mm long and 8-10 mm in diameter, additionally it is possible to fasten with bolts by drilling through the bars.

Precast beam

For the pile-screw foundation, a 50 mm thick board is used. With the height of the grillage above the blind area no more than 0.4 m, it is not necessary to reinforce the structure, if a level of 0.7 m is observed, the piping with a profile tube is necessary. Installation is as follows:

  • platforms are procured on supports;

The binding a channel is used at construction of brick, frame, chopped and bar-shaped structures. Such a structure is particularly stable and reliable. But a profile tube or a standard I-beam with a cross section of 20 mm can also be used, which provides even greater rigidity of the structure, especially if it is assumed to be heavy.

For work with a channel, the P-shaped profile with a section of 30-40 mm is applied. Ogolovki during such work on the piles are not installed, and the steel element is simply welded to the support.

Binding technology includes the following steps:

  • after installation of the supporting piles, all the pillars should be strictly aligned to zero;
  • after measuring the details of the grillage, the channel is laid out and cut into pieces of the required length;
  • all metal elements are treated with anti-corrosion compounds in two layers;
  • profiles are mounted on poles and cut off at right-angle joints;
  • the grillage is fixed by the welding method, after which the seams are coated with a primer mixture.

In some cases, a pipe mill can be used, which is fixed by a similar method. This material is lightweight and affordable.However, it should be borne in mind that this product is more subject to mechanical stress, therefore the stability of the whole structure will be much lower.

The metal channel is chosen as a whole-rolled, as it can withstand heavy loads than elements made by bending.

Finding out which piping is better - of course, this is installation using a grillage of an I-beam or channel bar, but, on the other hand, a lot depends on the type of building.

Corner mounting

Tying a corner is the most practical and economical solution, since these profiles are much cheaper than a channel or an I-beam. For strapping need parts with equal sides (75 mm).

Algorithm of work:

  • first, the screw piles are leveled off, the sections of the cuts are ground;
  • head plates made of sheet steel are welded to them, plates from the sides are reinforced with kerchiefs;
  • the level is checked for the height of the sites;
  • marked central axis;
  • corners are mounted shelf up to the outer contour, in the corners profiles are cut at an angle of 45 degrees;
  • then the corners are welded to steel pads with high-quality welding seams;
  • the next step is to install the corners of the inner contour, they are also laid with the shelf up and welded;
  • the last step is to weld the partition walls and cover the metal parts with two layers of paint, at the end they clean the seams.

It is impossible to use the corners that have already been operated before, since a decrease in the safety factor of these products may adversely affect the strength of the erected structure.

Use of reinforced concrete

The binding of the reinforced concrete grillage has some drawbacks - laborious installation and stopping of construction work until the grillage, which occurs within 28-30 days, is fully set. However, such an installation will be much cheaper than the use of metal profiles.

Installation includes the following steps:

  • support piles are set on the same level;
  • prepare the formwork of the boards with the inner oil-cloth upholstery to avoid leaks;
  • a frame is erected from metal reinforcement; horizontal parts are fastened with wire along verticals;
  • the design is lowered into the formwork, welded to the piles, then poured concrete solution.

      After pouring, it is advisable to compact the cement with reinforcing rods or vibrations.

      You should know that ground-based grillages are used only with stable ground. If the soil is prone to swelling, then it is better to use the trailing option. During the construction of multi-storey buildings, the strapping is usually done with the help of in-depth structures.

      The correct binding of the pile-screw foundation guarantees durability and durability of the building. This is especially true if the building is being erected on unstable, weak ground or marshland. Difficult terrain also requires due attention to this important workflow.
