 Vladi blankets

In all the variety of offers of the textile industry market, it is possible to single out a company that rightfully conquered its niche among manufacturers of high-quality and warm “helpers” for the cool season. Since 2003, Vladi has been successfully engaged in the production of high-quality pet hair: sheep and alpaca. Products of the company are in demand and popularity far beyond the country of origin - Ukraine.

Special features

A big warm woolen scarf - this is what the word “blanket” means in his native English. Over its history, this useful thing has accompanied a person in different situations. She was both a warm cape by the fireplace armchair in the stone damp walls of medieval houses, and the constant companion of the travelers from the times of old England, and simply a beautiful bedspread for armchairs and beds in the bedrooms.

According to customers, the products that Vladi represents are able to combine all the best qualities of this indispensable thing in cold weather. The product range includes wool and wool blend with the addition of acrylic.

The range of Vladi blankets is presented in three collections:

  • "Elite", "Classic" - products made from 100% high-quality wool, light and warm. Differ in the density of the material and, accordingly, the heating properties;
  • "Economy" - half-woolen models consisting of wool yarn and acrylic. Adding synthetics significantly affects the price of the product, making the product more affordable. However, synthetic additives to natural wool dramatically increase the durability of the product. Acrylic fibers are resistant to daily use and simplify the process of care for the product.

Materials

Products made from alpaca wool, New Zealand sheep or options from the collection with the addition of acrylic - any of the options can give warmth and comfort on a frosty winter day or on a rainy autumn evening. Let's take a closer look at each of the yarn materials:

  • Sheep's wool. The most common option among wool products, perfectly warming and retaining heat. The healing properties of the structure of wool help with radiculitis, colds, insomnia. Products from sheep wool have a minimum "pricklyness".
  • Alpaca. Alpaca is a domestic alpine animal that is bred in South American countries, its wool resembles sheep, but is more durable and subtle. Alpaca wool material is resistant to pollution and moisture, does not wrinkle, and retains its high qualities for a long time. The only drawback is the high price, but it fully pays for the operational properties of the product.
  • Acrylic. Artificial yarn made of synthetic fibers, resembling wool in structure and often used as a more economical substitute for natural wool. However, despite its chemical origin, acrylic has a number of advantages, such as durability of color and shape, antiallergenicity. Vladi blankets of the “Economy” collection made from combined yarn of natural wool and acrylic do not shrink, do not fade, and at the same time have a more favorable price.

A rich range of shades Vladi products will allow you to choose a blanket for every taste. But this product is characterized by soft warm tones, creating an atmosphere of comfort on a frosty day. They will be a worthy decoration of any living room or bedroom. The variety of patterns varies from ethnic ornaments to laconic geometric shapes.

For example, the “Economy” model can be recognized by the characteristic large cell of different colors and combinations. This option is perfect for a rocking chair on the veranda or by the fireplace in a country house.

Tips for choosing

When buying a Vladi blanket, pay attention to the packaging and label of the product. The plaid should be neatly packed in a transparent polyethylene bag with a zipper, with a sturdy carrying handle. Inside, together with the product itself, a flyer should be attached with a description of the model and an indication of the composition of the product. The product must be packed in such a way that the label, which also contains basic information about the composition and signs of rules for the care of the blanket, is also clearly visible.

Such bags-packages protect the product from external influences until it reaches its owner. Subsequently, to keep the blanket in such a bag is not recommended,as for storing woolen items must have air. Plaid in such a packing bag can be a great gift!

The choice of product size depends primarily on the purpose of its use.

As a rule, warm rugs are purchased for practical use and therefore the most suitable option would be the size of 140x200 cm. This is the most comfortable size of the plaid for one person. If necessary, such a blanket can be conveniently wrapped, moved from room to room, or taken on a journey.

When choosing a blanket designed to perform the function of a bedspread for a bed or a chair, it is necessary to build on the size of the furniture. The parameters of the blanket should be at least 20 cm larger and wider than the surface to be covered. However, too wide a rug, reaching the floor, is able to give a sloppy look to the entire interior, therefore it is recommended to carefully approach the choice of the size of the product.

Recommendations for the care of woolen blankets

In order for products made of wool to serve for a long time and not lose their original appearance, you should pay attention to the care of them. We offer several rules for the care of Vladi plaids made of natural wool.

Storage:

  1. They keep wool blankets rolled up, a cotton bag or a regular pillowcase rather than open storage. The product needs air, so it is not recommended to store the blanket in its original packaging.
  2. Products made of natural wool should be protected from direct sunlight.
  3. If the blanket is rarely used, it is periodically necessary to ventilate it, preventing it from clogging up and preventing microscopic bacteria and bugs from appearing in the natural fiber.

Washing:

  • It is recommended to wash rugs from natural wool only by hand, at a temperature not higher than 30 ° C.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaners and bleaches. Washing with sparing means would be preferable. In extreme cases, you can use shampoo.
  • Dry cleaning of individual stains involves applying a lanolin product to the contaminated area, followed by its removal with a soft sponge. Attention! Lanolin is not applied to the product in pure form. It must first be diluted in a small amount of water and whipped into a strong foam.
  • Products made of wool is not recommended to squeeze. The best option for pressing is to carefully wrap the product in a cotton cloth or terry towel, then gently wring it out without twisting.
  • It is necessary to dry a woolen plaid on a horizontal surface, in order to avoid its deformation. Spread the product on the fabric, straighten irregularities. Do not forget to turn the blanket over, for even drying on each side.
