Often, the pompon carpet is made in the form of the skin of an animal (most often a bear, a hare, a sheep or a fox). These types differ in their colors and sizes, which are absolutely any. • Yarn. The thread should not be thin. You can choose synthetics, wool, acrylic or cotton.In order to save money, they often use not purchased yarn, but yarns obtained during the blooming of old knitted items. A good option for manufacturing are blended natural and synthetic fibers.
• Original products can be made of garbage bags. The main advantages of such products are in their low weight, low cost and the most simple care - these rugs can be washed by hand using soap or detergent.

First of all, it is necessary to decide what size the future mat will be in, depending on this, calculate the necessary amount of materials. It is important that there are scissors, cardboard, pencil, crochet hook, needle at hand. Next you need to choose the basis of the product. This may be a special textile or mosquito net, tapestry cut.

Before you begin, you must prepare a template for the manufacture of pompons. It can be made of cardboard (you need to cut circles with a hole in the center). If you want all pom-poms to be the same in size, we make circles of identical diameter, if you want to get pompons of different sizes, prepare different templates.

Take the prepared templates (two identical circles of cardboard with holes in the center). Then we begin to evenly wind the thread on the template throughout the entire circle, passing the thread through the central hole. After that, we take scissors and carefully cut the threads along the outer edge of the circles, then slightly push the templates apart and tighten the middle one more thread. It turns out pompon, which remains only to fluff.

Another method of making pompons is winding the thread on the fingers. Depending on the desired size of the pom-pom, wind the thread on two, three or four fingers (make about fifty turns). Pull the resulting winding over the center with another thread and remove it from your fingers. After that, it remains to cut the ends of the winding and straighten the finished pom-pom. The thread with which the pompomon was used in both methods should not be cut off. With it, the fragments will be attached to the base.

If the construction mesh is used as the base, you will need to stretch the thread with which the pompon was connected through the mesh holes and tie it tightly to the knot on the wrong side of the base.The larger the holes in the grid, the easier it will be to fix fluffy balls on it. If textiles are used as a base, pompons can be sewn to it. It is important to place the balls at the same distance from each other. If you want to make a pattern, make sure that the color of the pompons on the canvas is symmetrical.

When the entire base is filled with fluffy balls, you can cut off the remaining tips of the threads from the wrong side of the base. The finished product can be supplemented with textile edging or knitted piping. To make a rug from pompons is quite simple, it does not require you to spend a lot of time and money.
