Tulle "web" in the interior

 Tulle cobweb in the interior

The XXI century offers us a rich selection of textiles to decorate our home. Bedspreads and blankets, bed linen and towels. But a special niche is occupied by window curtains. Enter any house and look at the window. You can determine not only the level of wealth of the owners, but also their taste, and even mood.

The easiest option to design windows with curtains with a cloth is to use only night curtains. But it is unlikely you will be able to achieve home comfort and beauty in this way.

Tulle adds a special elegance to the window. Previously, this fabric was produced from natural fibers, was only white, and quickly lost its appearance from the sun and frequent washes.

Modern tulle is a few types of transparent or translucent lightweight fabrics: organza, veil, microveil (half organza), muslin, and spiderwebs.

Special features

"Spider line" is a combination of natural and artificial fibers.

Looking at the fabric, it may seem that the threads are arranged chaotically. This is not so: interconnected in a circle or in a spiral, they create intricate patterns.

Viscose, polyester, Lurex make a “cobweb” sparkling in the sunlight or evening light. Embroidery makes the fabric volume.

How to choose?

A few simple tips:

  • When buying a tulle rely on the size and overall design of the room. For small rooms, choose a light "cobweb", for large rooms - the choice will be more.
  • Determine the role of tulle: decorative (then maybe a transparent fabric) or protective (a thicker fabric, possibly with a pattern or in several layers).
  • Provide a combination of pattern on tulle and pattern on the walls and floor covering.
  • If you want to clearly see the picture on the canvas - choose a size slightly larger than the width of the window. Do you want tulle to look tighter, streamed in waves - take a double or triple width of the window.
  • The height of such a product, as a rule, is standard, not requiring bending. But if you have to bend, do not force the tulle to lie on the floor - it will quickly get dirty. Shorten the fabric so it barely reaches the floor.
  • If the window has nightly rectangular curtains, equalize their length with the cobweb. The difference of 5-10 cm for such products looks very ugly.

Care rules

Since the basis of the fabric - artificial materials, the care of the "cobweb" is not difficult. She will calmly carry the hand and machine wash. Some consumers even recommend washing it 1-2 times a month to avoid heavy contamination. But since this tulle perfectly passes dust, it stays clean for a long time.

There is no need to wash the fabric so often. If you want to whiten the cloth, soak it in brine (the steeper the better) for 20-60 minutes, then wash it manually or in a typewriter.

For a mechanical wash, select a delicate option with a temperature no higher than 40 degrees. Before laying in the car gently fold the canvas is not crumpling.

The hostess loves "web" tulle for not having to iron it. For reliability, so as not to damage the fabric, do not squeeze using twisting. Carefully flatten the washed item and hang it to dry.

If you need to smooth out the "cobweb", do it with an iron with a temperature of 110 degrees through wet gauze or steamer.Even frequent washings will not have a negative impact on your favorite curtain. You will be able to enjoy the air beauty for several years.

"Spider line" in the interior

The undoubted advantage of the "cobweb" is a feature to repel dust. Due to this, it is used in children’s rooms and allergy rooms. Tulle looks great in the living room and in the bedroom:

  • Bedroom. Since the “cobweb” is lightness and elegance, find the right style solution for the bed. Using drawings or embroidery, different ways of drapery will help you to stop looking at the window and relax. Choose pastel shades 2-3 tones paler than night curtains or walls.
  • Living room. Bright colors or classic white - everything is permissible. Tulle only on the windows or across the wall - choose. Rectangular canvas or beveled corner - you decide. Plain walls will allow to focus the view on the window and make it the main element of the room. Excessive saturation in furniture and wallpaper is leveled by plain curtains without a pattern.
  • Children's Choose colors for boys and girls. In the common room, tulle may consist of pink and blue cloths, especially since these colors go well together.Try to avoid bright aggressive colors when buying furniture and textiles for the nursery.
  • Kitchen. In the usual standard kitchen, select short models of "web" tulle in order to maintain cleanliness and for safe use. If the kitchen window is working, select the “Italian curtain” drapery, and you don’t have to constantly pull out the tulle. Do not hang in the kitchen white "web", otherwise you have to wash it too often.

So, choosing a "web" tulle for the bedroom or living room window, kitchen or nursery you will not regret. It is extremely beautiful, practical, durable.
