 Danko boilers: types, subtleties of choice and advice on operation

Gas boilers "Danko" are quite popular in the domestic market of heating systems. Devices are widely used both for space heating and for providing consumers with hot water.

Specifications

The production of gas equipment "Danko" is engaged in the Ukrainian company "Agroresurs". Its products attract customers in European quality and reasonable price. The company manufactures a large number of models, each of which meets strict international requirements and is manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001-2008 standard. Products are manufactured on Italian, Danish and Finnish equipment.Only high quality certified materials are used as raw materials.

The heating boiler “Danko” of a single-circuit design is represented by a device, the design of which includes a heat exchanger, a burner, gas automatics and a decorative casing. Externally, the device is a cabinet equipped with a convenient door, behind which are the main components and assemblies. The device of double-circuit boilers is somewhat more complicated. The chimney channel, the forcing electric fan, the secondary heat exchanger, the water pump, a broad tank and a hydraulic unit are added to the above-named parts.

For the safety of this high-tech design meets the automatic unit. It will immediately stop the supply of fuel in cases of extinction of the flame, reduction of pressure in the system, the absence of thrust in the chimney and heating of water above +90 degrees.

Special features

Heating boilers "Danko" is rapidly gaining popularity in Europe. The demand is due to the democratic cost, high level of efficiency and aesthetic appearance. In addition, many models are compact in size, which is important when installing boiler equipment in small spaces.The boiler can easily accommodate in small kitchens and bathrooms, where, thanks to its miniature dimensions, it will harmoniously fit into the interior and will not clutter up the space.

High consumer demand for gas equipment "Danko" due to such indisputable advantages of Ukrainian devices, such as:

  • full compatibility with domestic communications and Russian gas, as well as good adaptability to the harsh climatic conditions distinguishes boilers of this brand from models from other manufacturers; boilers are perfectly combined with old cast-iron batteries, do not require the replacement of piping systems and radiators;
  • comfortable cost of products allows for a small amount of money to solve the problem of heating and hot water supply; You can buy the device for 10-15 thousand rubles.
  • the presence of an automatic protection system ensures complete safety and comfortable use of gas equipment;
  • long service life, reaching 25 years, due to the use of the latest technologies with the use of high-quality components, which distinguishes cast iron boilers from other models that can serve only 15 years; in addition, the manufacturer provides a three-year warranty on all gas equipment;
  • high heat transfer of the devices is achieved through steel heat exchangers, and rapid heating of the coolant is provided by a copper coil, which can significantly reduce the time of heating water and significantly increases the efficiency of the device;
  • the silent operation of the devices allows installation of boilers in residential premises without fear of the presence of extraneous sounds in the house;
  • the possibility of using boilers in systems with no forced water circulation is due to the complete non-volatility of the device, which is quite convenient with frequent power outages and voltage drops;
  • the presence of a detailed instruction manual describing the process of connecting to the system in detail allows you to install the boiler yourself without using expensive tools and calling a specialist.

The disadvantages of heating units "Danko" include the design features of the horizontal type chimney in wall models. The fact is that with sudden gusts of wind the flame in the burner can go out. In addition, wall-mounted appliances have less power and require constant cleaning of the chimney.

There are fewer claims to the floor variants, their main disadvantage is considered to be more noisy compared to mounted boilers, work. Because of what floor AGV models should be established in corridors, special boiler rooms and on verandahs.

Types

The range of gas boilers "Danko" has 22 modifications that differ structurally and functionally among themselves. The units are available in single and dual circuit design. Single-circuit models AOGV are designed for heating and do not have the function of heating water for a hot water system. More powerful dual-circuit devices provide consumers with not only heating, but also hot water. In such devices, there are two independent circuits, each of which exhibits the desired temperature.

Danko boilers are equipped with two types of combustion chambers: open and closed. In the first, the air necessary for sustaining combustion is taken from the room in which the boiler is installed. While in the closed-type chambers, oxygen is supplied through a coaxial chimney pipe, through which exhaust gases are discharged. Closed cameras are safer.They do not burn oxygen in the home and make the gas combustion process completely isolated from the room.

By way of installation, the models are classified into three varieties.

  • The most low-power are mounted options, the power of which can be 8, 10, 12 and 15 kW. The devices are equipped with both copper and steel heat exchangers, have single and double circuit design and are able to heat a room up to 210 squares. The advantage of wall mounted units is their low weight, small dimensions, electric ignition system and coolant freeze protection. In addition, some models are equipped with a self-diagnostic function that allows you to quickly and accurately determine the fault and fix the damage. The average consumption of wall mounted copies is 2.5 cubic meters of gas per hour, and the membrane tank can hold up to 6 liters.
  • Floor-standing specimens with an open-type combustion chamber are distinguished by greater power, which in serious boilers reaches from 20 to 24 kW. The models are equipped with pumps that support the forced circulation of the coolant, a steel or cast iron heat exchanger, and a monitoring system that allows you to adjust the levels of thrust and flame, as well as the moment of boiling water.All floor mounted units are equipped with a gas shutoff system with a lack of traction or flame extinction, they have a wide model range and are able to heat a room up to 360 squares. The most powerful models with a cast-iron heat exchanger can develop power up to 50 kW.

They easily cope with areas of 460 m², so they are often installed in trade pavilions and production halls. The cost of floor-standing boilers is somewhat higher than that of mounted models, and averages 20 thousand rubles.

  • Parapet models have a single-circuit design with the function of water heating. The devices are equipped with a closed combustion chamber, a micro-torch burner, a steel heat exchanger and an automatic unit. The average power of such boilers is 16 kW. Units have high efficiency, often reaching 90%. This type of boiler is used to heat small rooms, the area of which does not exceed 140 m².

How to choose?

Before proceeding to the choice of model, it is necessary to determine the functional purpose of the boiler and its capacity. Double-circuit units should be chosen in the event that it is planned to equip not only heating, but also hot water supply.Particular attention should be paid to the heat transfer coefficient of the device, which is especially important when calculating the power of the heating system in regions with a cold climate. Convection models have the highest efficiency. This type of construction is represented in many Danko floor-mounted appliances and is recommended for use in northern areas.

Judging by the reviews of the owners, it was convection boilers that showed themselves from the best side when heating a private house in harsh conditions. In addition, floor standing appliances are non-volatile. In the event of a power outage, they will not leave the house without heat. The most popular model among floor-type appliances is the Danko 18VS model. The boiler has dimensions of 41x85x49.7 cm, weighs 81 kg and is designed for space heating up to 170 m².

For heating of country houses or with the arrangement of the heating system in southern and temperate latitudes wall and parapet devices are quite suitable. These devices are able to effectively warm the premises of medium size and provide residents with uninterrupted hot water supply. The disadvantage of such devices is the presence of electronic ignition, which does not allow to ignite the boiler in the absence of electricity.Many models are equipped with frost protection, which is important when operating the device in conditions of temperature drops in the absence of owners, when it is not possible to forcibly turn the device on or off.

When choosing equipment should pay attention to fuel consumption. Single-circuit devices consume significantly less gas than dual-circuit models. For example, an outdoor single-circuit unit of the Danko 8 brand, having a heat transfer coefficient of 92% and capable of effectively heating a room of 70 squares, consumes only 0.9 cubic meters of gas per hour, while some dual-circuit boilers consume 2.5 and more cubic meters of fuel.

How to use?

Gas heating can only be used after the appliance has been commissioned by the gas service. To obtain permission for the use of gas equipment, it is necessary to call a specialist who will verify the installation, the effectiveness of the exhaust and will conduct a test run of the system. Automatic devices are turned on by simply turning the switch and ignited by electric ignition.

When the semi-automatic units are turned on, the regulator knob is set to the extreme position, and the wheel is pressed in slightly, providing the gas supply. Then, piezoelectric ignition is performed with the wheel held in this position for 10 seconds. When the flame goes out after the wheel is released, the process should be repeated.

In the further independent operation of the gas boiler, the following precautions must be observed:

  • Before starting the burner, check the water level in the expansion tank; if there is not enough heat transfer fluid, it must be added; level checks are required every week;
  • at the slightest odor of gas, the device must be immediately stopped and the repair service is called;
  • during the operation of a gas unit of any type, it is necessary to regularly inspect the chimney and, if necessary, clean it;
  • at the end of the service life specified by the manufacturer, a specialist should be called in to determine the condition of the unit and the possibility of its further operation.

Recommendations

Despite the fact that the Danko boilers are characterized by a long service life and reliability, some failures do occur.

Therefore, all owners of gas equipment should know the main types of faults and their causes.

  • The formation of soot and soot on the internal surfaces of the boiler indicates problems with the chimney. In this case, you should clean the pipe from the accumulated products of combustion and wash the parts of the device from dirt.
  • Unstable operation of the device and temperature fluctuations in the system indicate a malfunction of the fan or the circulation pump. If you have the necessary parts, you can repair the device yourself.
  • If the boiler doesn’t have a pilot light, or the wick doesn’t ignite, the reason is most likely the absence of a special valve in the chimney system that prevents the return draft. The ignition of the igniter can also be due to the activation of the thermostat. In this case, adjustment of the device is necessary, which should be done by experienced specialists. Only single-circuit boilers are subject to attenuation. There are no such problems in dual circuit devices.
  • In case of failure of the combustion sensor or nozzle, the device is urgently disconnected from the gas supply andleft to cool. Repairs can be performed only when the failure is not associated with a fuel leak. For example, cleaning the nozzle can be done independently, and more serious faults should be trusted only to the master.
  • Increased fuel consumption and the presence of extraneous noise before attenuation is caused, most likely, by the failure of the controller. If you have the necessary parts repair parts can be done on their own.

Gas coppers of the Danko brand are worthy alternative to expensive branded models. The devices are unpretentious to the quality of fuel, easy to maintain and install, as well as high quality and long service life.
