Cellar "Titan": varieties of forms and designs

Each summer resident sooner or later faces the problem of preserving a large crop. It’s good if the cellar was built when the house was built, and if it isn’t there, it’s easier not to dig it yourself, but to buy ready-made polypropylene structures. An excellent alternative would be plastic cellars "Titan" made in the Russian Federation, which are available in various forms and configurations.

Special features

The typical purpose of the cellar is a place to store stocks for the winter in suitable conditions. For this purpose, the natural insulating properties of the soil and the constant low temperature maintained throughout the year are used. An object of this type is sufficiently equipped with reliable ventilation and lighting.

You can be confident in the strength of such a design.Walls 1.5 cm thick withstand any loads of soil.

Cellars "Titan" are made from environmentally friendly Czech polypropylene. The design can be ground, buried or semi-buried, and its reliability provides a three-step test for quality and durability. Reviews of owners of such caissons confirm their durability. Compared with other plastic cellars, “Titan” is distinguished by its design with reinforcing ribs on all sides. As well as the strength of the design increase the two reinforcing contour.

Plastic caisson is manufactured by extrusion welding. It has an upper hatch or side entrance. In the latter case, the dimensions of the structure are much larger, therefore, when ordering a structure, it is worth correlating it with the dimensions of the section.

Manhole for cellars is selected individual sizes to fit people of different stature.

Of course, the option with a side entrance is much more convenient, because it will be easier to go down the gentle steps - this is especially true when the cellar is often used.

As for the internal organization of the cellar space, there are several rows of roomy shelves of different widths and depths.To maintain an optimal microclimate inside the cellar, there are two pipes that perform the function of the supply and exhaust system. In addition, there is a hygrometer that measures the humidity and temperature in the room. And if you want to spend electricity in the cellar, the manufacturer has thought up this possibility by providing a connection for cable laying.

When installing the cellar, first earthworks are carried out to make a large trench. Then the finished cellar construction is brought up. As a rule, a concrete slab is installed on the bottom of the caisson, so that possible groundwater does not wash the structure. And you also need to lay the ventilation pipes to the caisson itself.

Advantages and disadvantages

Cellar "Titan" has such advantages as:

  • does not require additional reinforcement of the walls, as it is equipped with powerful stiffening ribs;
  • It has a reinforced base with a cellular bottom and metal fittings;
  • the roof is also reinforced with ribs and metal channel;
  • made of environmentally friendly food polypropylene. As you know, harmful white materials cannot be added to white material;
  • all seams of the product are welded by professional equipment in the factory, so the design is provided with 100% tightness;
  • standard equipment can be changed at the request of the customer;
  • resistance to absorption of odors from stored products;
  • robust design through the use of innovative technologies;
  • the cellar has a white surface, and when illuminated, this effect is enhanced;
  • equipped with several rows of shelves for placing supplies;
  • a staircase with wide steps that is safe for owners;
  • storage material is corrosion resistant;
  • ease of operation;
  • the geometry of the body allows for a long time to do without repair;
  • durable service life - about 100 years;
  • the product can be installed on almost any site and even with the presence of groundwater;
  • the cellar can be mounted both at the construction stage of the summer cottage and after the completion of the construction of the house;
  • minimization of construction work, as the finished structure is transported directly to the site;
  • will allow to get rid of such problems inherent in ordinary cellars, such as unpleasant odor, mold and condensate, which is the key to safe and long-term storage of stocks;
  • reliable protection of the crop from rodents and insects.

The only negative is the rather large cost of the cellar, all the excavation and installation. But many gardeners prefer to fork out and get rid of problems with the safety of the crop once and for all.

Tips and reviews

    The owners of the cellar "Titan" should adhere to the following recommendations of experts:

    • do not forget about regular disinfection and ventilation of the cellar;
    • when planning a cellar, it is recommended to consider the geometry of the site and study the technical specifications of the product;
    • installation of the cellar under the house after its construction is possible, but it will cost more because of the large amount of earthworks;
    • in areas with groundwater and heaving soils, the installation of such cellars is problematic, since water can eventually push the structure out of the ground;
    • if the ventilation does not correspond to the conditions in which the cellar is operated, you can install the second channel yourself;
    • for the cellar to serve as long as possible, you should choose options with stiffening ribs on the side walls, the floor and the roof;
    • whenever possible, models with check valves should be chosen so that the ground water does not push the product out. Cranes are opened after the cellar is installed, the ground water gradually fills it and naturally creates new ways for itself. A year later, the water is pumped out, and the room is disinfected;
    • The plastic model is aesthetically attractive and faster to install, but neither in strength, nor in durability, nor in cost, does it exceed monolithic concrete and brick structures.
