Specifications

Laminate Kronotex has long been familiar to the Russian consumer. Products of the German plant has international certificates of compliance with quality safety standards, since it is manufactured from harmless and natural raw materials.

Kronotex is produced in two commercial reliability classes (32 and 33), that is, such a floor can be used even in premises where people are constantly moving.And if such coverage is laid in the living room, then in the next few decades it will be possible not to think about repairing the floor.

Kronotex laminate has a four-layer structure:

  • The lower stabilization layer, which ensures wear resistance of the structure and protection from moisture from below;
  • HDF board is a fibreboard with a density of about 900 kg / m. cc These plates are also manufactured by Kronotex, so the manufacturer can easily change their characteristics depending on changes in the production of floor coverings;
  • Decorative layer that provides the necessary appearance of the coating. This layer is made from a specially treated paper with an image of wood or stone on it. Due to the special composition of paints and the special technology of their application, the decorative layer is not exposed to the sun's rays, that is, it does not fade;
  • A protective layer of Overlay film, due to which the laminate is protected from abrasion, moisture and other mechanical effects. In the production of a protective film, environmentally friendly and safe for health polymers and resins are used.

Laminated floors from Kronotex have good performance characteristics, namely:

  • Resistant to mechanical stress. The surface of the floor, even after many years of intensive use, will remain completely flat and smooth without scratches and wiped off with permanent patches;
  • Incombustible. Laminate does not support the combustion process and even during smoldering does not emit harmful substances;
  • Resistance to elevated temperatures (short-term). When a burning match or cigarette falls on the floor, no trace will remain on the coating due to the presence of a reliable upper layer;
  • The possibility of laying it on heated floors. But at the same time, the manufacturer recommends that the heating be uniform under the entire Kronotex coating;
  • Easy care. Laminate flooring is easily kept clean using wet or dry vacuuming;
  • Resistant to fading. Even in rooms facing south, where sunlight is always present, Kronotex does not change the appearance;
  • Antistatic properties. The protective top layer of the coating does not allow dust to linger on the floor surface.

Advantages and disadvantages

In the opinion of buyers and professionals, Kronotex, compared to other 32 and 33 class floor coverings, has a number of undeniable advantages:

  • Extremely natural composition product. For the manufacture of laminate does not use harmful additives that may adversely affect human health, but which at the same time could significantly improve the performance of the flooring. Kronotex was one of the first companies to launch laminated floors without the use of glue. Therefore, used laminate when replacing the floor can safely be disposed of in the usual way. It will not harm the surrounding nature, therefore, it is not necessary to pass it on purpose somewhere;
  • Variety of options textures and colors. To date, Kronotex is presented in seven series with a total number of models of about three hundred, so it is unlikely that the consumer may have a problem with finding the desired shade. The manufacturer offers a wide range of models for this;
  • Warranty for a floor covering of 20-30 years subject to its domestic use, which is an indicator of the company's confidence in the reliability and durability of its finishing materials;
  • Almost 100% transfer of the appearance of those natural surfaceswhich mimics the laminated coating. This is achieved through the use of new technologies of applying a paint layer and further processing of the finishing layer (for example, brushing);
  • Laying Kronotex is very simple. It does not need special skills or knowledge. Each panel is equipped with a special lock Clic, you just need to snap one panel into the other, and that’s all - the floor is ready. If necessary, the flooring can also be easily disassembled - the laminate will not be affected.

The only drawback of Kronotex, like any DFD-based coating, is that it cannot be exposed to moisture, that is, if the heating system leaks or other water impacts occur, the laminate will swell and become unusable. Therefore, spilled even in a small amount of water should be immediately removed from the floor with a dry cloth.

How to choose?

The choice of laminate is not easy. But if priority has shifted in favor of Kronotex, the consumer will have to choose only among the wealth of colors and textures presented in his collections. Of course, if you want to buy exactly Kronotex, but the budget is limited, you can stop the choice on the universal Dynamic model.The thickness of the panels in this collection is small - 8 mm, but at the same time the coating has high strength and resistance to various influences. Due to the low price of laminate from this collection is the most popular among buyers.

If increased requirements are made to the floor covering, that is, it is assumed that it will be used in rooms with heavy traffic, then the natural choice would be to purchase a laminate with a thickness of 12 mm, which will ensure its long-term operation.

Piling

Despite the fact that the installation of the coating is quite simple, but nevertheless, there are certain nuances that require attention. In order for the laminate not to deform and acquire the temperature of the room, it must be stored in a horizontal position for two days in the place where it is supposed to be mounted.

Laminate panels are laid along the direction of light in the room. If the coating is laid on the screed, then you must first lay a layer of vapor barrier material. Next - a layer of noise insulation. Now everything is ready for the installation of the floor covering itself.

Begin to mount the panel from the corner of the room.Between the wall and the laminate panel, 1-1.5 cm is left to provide a floating structure. Laminated panels are shortened with a special cutter, hacksaw or circular saw. A new row should begin with the trimming that remains from the previous row. Panels in the second and subsequent rows are fixed with a lock, setting them at an angle to the previous row and pushing until it clicks.

Perhaps when installing the last row will have to trim the panel width. This should be done taking into account the distance from the wall. Under no circumstances should the flooring be laid. The plinth should also not be fixed to the flooring, it is fixed only on the wall. Otherwise, deformation of the floor is possible, in the event of which the manufacturer reserves the right not to accept claims due to non-compliance with the installation of laminated flooring.

In spacious rooms with dimensions greater than 12x8m, it is necessary to install a special expansion profile. To lay the laminate coating in the space under the door boxes, the latter are cut with a saw.
