Features of Volcano heating units

Volcano heating devices, which are developed by experienced designers from EuroHeat, have proven themselves excellently for industrial heating. They are able to evenly heat the air at minimal cost. It should also be noted that in their production only the most recent developments of technical progress are used, and the products are endowed with a unique design.

Application area

Heating units proved to be well for heating of premises that are considered residential, as well as industrial facilities, among which may be shops, various warehouses, shops, supermarkets. Many gardeners use an air-heating unit for heating greenhouses or farms with animals and poultry. Well proven equipment when used in small workshops and garages.

Specifications

Currently, two models of Volcano heating equipment are released - VR1 and VR2. There are also models of Volcano VR MINI and Volcano VR3 fan heaters, but they are not widely used.

Models VR1 and VR2 have a casing resistant to temperature and corrosive processes, which is made of special plastic that meets all standards of control when testing for environmental friendliness. In these instances only reliable automation is used, which is very easy to manage.

Volcano VR1 heater is a single-row device and has a capacity of 30 kW at maximum load. The second model has two rows, and the power indicator is increased 2 times.

Water acts as a heat carrier. The maximum possible temperature for heating the working fluid for both models is a reading of 1300С with a range of heated air of 25 m. In the first model, namely in VR1, 1.7 dm3 of water is used, and in the second - 3.1 dm3.

The maximum allowable working pressure is 1.6 MPa.

We must not forget that the use of water as a coolant, which is under pressure, requires additional protection with a possible increase in this indicator.But it also takes into account the conditions that when the temperature drops to negative values, a heat exchanger may break if there is water in the system.

The devices have an automatic control system that includes a thermostat, a two-way valve, a fan speed regulator, and a valve servo.

Benefits

Air-heating units Volcano VR1 and Volcano VR2 have a number of advantages when compared with conventional electric convectors, The main ones include:

  • high heating rate;
  • heat is distributed evenly throughout the space of the room;
  • economic benefit from use;
  • ease and speed when carrying out installation works of the equipment.

Shutters through which warm air escapes have the ability to change in any direction, which is why saturation of the space with heat occurs. In the process of forced blowing, which is used during operation of the device, there is a forced removal of heat from the heat exchanger, and it is many times more when compared with convection currents.

Profitability when using these devices is reached thanks to uniform distribution of heat. For example, for heating a warehouse with a height of 10 meters, the temperature indicator below should reach a value of 16-180C, and at the same time, under the ceiling, the air will be heated to 300C at least. In order not to lose the lion’s share of the heat released for heating the room through the roof, it is necessary to use these units.

We must not forget that through the use of equipment for heating purposes in the premises, the removal of excess moisture, which can lead to corrosion and fungus, is eliminated.

The ability to turn on the units in the hot time allowed to increase its functionality. During this period of the year, it serves as a regular fan that provides fresh air to the room, thereby creating favorable conditions.

Compared with their predecessors, the Volcano VR1 and VR2 have the ability to supply warm air over long distances, and the special design of the heat exchanger used has increased the heat output by more than 20% than the previously used models.

To give an aesthetic look, the developers placed all the connectors of the connections on the rear panel, thereby hiding them from the eyes of users.

Features of installation and operation of equipment

Since these devices belong to the air-heating group, their power supply comes from the 380 V network. An electrician may be invited to connect them, who has the appropriate approval for technical work. The only condition before connecting is correctly calculated power consumption, which must be taken into account to protect the wires from breaking the integrity and prevent ignition due to a short circuit.

Devices that are used in heating are connected only with steel pipes. Experts recommend using a pre-galvanized type of pipe to increase the service life, because in the course of work, the effect of corrosion on the metal, as well as the appearance of deposits and subsequent “overgrowth” are possible. The pipes that are made of metal-plastic and polymers are unsuitable, because in the process of operation water heated to 130 ° C will be used.

There are two installation methods:

  • wall;
  • vertical.

Using the wall method, it is necessary to take into account the free distance of 30 cm minimum from the wall. It must be left to ensure the flow of air.

In shops or on the territory of warehouses in which volatile, explosive or corrosive substances are stored, the use of installations that use electric current is prohibited. Special attention should also be paid when used in workshops with metalworking, because graphite, which can be used as a lubricant, as well as fine sawdust released during operation, can conduct current.

Experts recommend installing coarse air filters before installing fan heaters of all types. Currently, many units in their design have their own filter, which detains foreign particles that can have a damaging effect on the fan or even on the heat exchanger.

Heating car wash or service station

To create favorable conditions in such workshops are often used air-heating devices.Due to the fact that these heaters have an excellent compactness, you do not need to wonder about its convenient placement.

Due to the fact that the manufacturer EuroHeat provides a lifetime warranty on the body of its products, it is possible to judge the quality of the material used, which is not amenable to mechanical damage and premature wear.

The units are extremely easy to use., and the installation will require a connection to a hot water system, which may be supplied from an additional heating boiler used in space heating. The fan forcibly blows the Volcano heat exchanger, which has a special structure in its contour, resembling a labyrinth.

Particular attention is paid to the air that creates heat flow. An important factor is that it is taken from the same room where it is installed. Due to this, there is no need to install additional air outlets to the street. The fan itself has a well thought-out design of the blades, so it works almost silently, thereby not distracting from work.

Air heating unit in the winter ensures the maintenance of optimal temperature indicators and participates in the fight against excessive moisture. But also thanks to its use, the use of additional burners, electric radiators and so on is excluded. Equipment from EuroHeat is designed to increase the safety of the workflow.

In car repair shops, it is necessary to choose the right place for the installation of the device, and also to connect it to the heating system and eliminate the possibility of violating the integrity of the pipes through which the coolant is supplied. An important factor when choosing an installation site is considered the possibility of unimpeded passage of a jet of heated air.

Most often, air-heating units are used together with the main heat generator.which may be gas, diesel or one of the types of solid fuel boilers. Antifreeze has been known as a coolant, which has proven to be very good at lower temperatures, but you should consult with a specialist before using this substance, because it may affect some seals,being a part of the device.
