Tarkett floorboard: features

Parquet is an intermediate option between laminate and parquet. It has the convenience of laying like a laminate, but is made of natural wood, like a parquet die.

Tarkett company produces all types of flooring, including floorboard, which is a good investment in the comfort and health of a house or apartment. The company managed to achieve absolute safety of the material by combining the most advanced materials, for example, even parquet lacquer used for coating has a natural water base.

Technical features

Like all products, Tarkett floorboard is divided into two brands: Tarkett and Sinteros. The first belongs to the premium segment of coverage, the second - to the mass market.At the same time, the quality of the tree structure does not differ, only the top coating, the types of wood used for this, and the technology for creating patterns on the surface differ.

Tarkett parquet is divided by:

  • type of design (single-lane, two-lane and three-lane. Single-lane assumes the presence of "one" visual plate on one unit of material. Two-lane and three-band on one unit of material have a drawing of two or three boards, respectively);
  • the level of wear resistance;
  • hardness coefficient and wood density (hardness is the ability of the board to resist the penetration of solid bodies into it, density is the amount of wood fibers inside the board, the higher the density, the better the board is processed and polished);
  • a method of drawing a picture on the front side of the plate (a conventional classic board or a three-dimensional print that allows you to put any pattern on the board. Simulates an image of an old cracked tree or newspaper sheet);
  • the thickness of the board itself (14 mm in the Tarkett brand and 13 mm in the Sinteros brand).

Any board has standard widths and lengths: 2 meters 53 cm in length, 18.8 cm in width.Standard factory packaging contains 6 lamellas, which are sufficient for laying on a floor area of 2.85 m2.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of the Tarkett floorboard according to the manufacturer are many:

  • in the manufacture of dies of any collection, perfectly dried wood is used. The middle layer of the lamellae is made of slats of different widths, exclusively radial sawing, arranged in a chaotic version, which improves the strength of the product;
  • T-lock lock allows you to quickly assemble a molded board floor without tools. In this case, the buyer has the opportunity to extract a separate board and replace it in case of loss of appearance;
  • possibility of two mounting options: floating and glue;
  • the top layer of the plate is additionally profiled after varnishing, so there are no traces of streaks on the ends;
  • Proteco coating - seven-layer protective varnish, which hardens after special treatment in the UV chamber;
  • wax or oil light dies, if desired, can be clocked in other dark shades.

Now consider the reviews of real buyers about the floorboard from this manufacturer. They indicated both the category of the mass market and the premiere board.First of all, what buyers paid attention to is a large number of rejects in packages.

Various defects are cited as defects: broken locks, a large gap between the lamellae of the second layer, discrepancy in color of the boards in one package, cracks on the boards, factory cutting of dies in half, violation of the trapezium (right angle of the board’s edge) by 5 mm and even flight holes beetle grinder.

The next complaint is that the board does not correspond to the stated hardness. There are dents on the floor from heavy furniture, a folding bed on which a 100-pound man slept, scratches from fallen things. It is also very susceptible to swelling from moisture, this also applies to models with a high degree of moisture resistance.

Separately, note the poor service in the official representations. To protect your rights, you have to worry a lot or hire a professional lawyer.

Color solutions

Tarkett company offers a variety of color solutions for interiors of any style from a completely white or cream model to wenge or completely black. Between them fits absolutely any color and almost any print.

Collection Performance fashion It offers the user not just a set of classic wood flowers, but also the addition of a print that imitates Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings on the old board, the remains of gold leaf on the floor, the oak board of the ship’s deck scattered on the plank floor of the newspaper and many other options.

For example, the collection Salsa art vision allows you to simulate the texture of cracked wood on the floor, as well as choose any unique color. This collection includes designs of composite colors: brown-green, brown-blue, red-blue-gray, yellow-green, dark brown and light brown with a purple subtone, white oak, brown-gray and many others. In this case, all the colors of the floorboard of this collection are neutral in tone.

Collection Rumba - These are natural light tones and shades, such as honey, beige, white, smoky. The board is single-sided and suitable for large areas. In addition to the standard shades of wood, there is a “oak of fire” coloring that imitates composite mosaic parquet in brown tones.

Collection Salsa presents a rich selection of natural colors.It includes not only the standard for our area of wood (oak, ash, walnut), but also exotic (mahogony, merbau) sepia color or other brown shades.

Collection TANGO ART - brushed board (with a pronounced texture, while processing soft fibers are removed from the top of the die) of light colors (pearl, creamy, sandy). The main feature is a chamfer at the edges, which, at the junction, forms a recess between the dies.

All colors, including - savanna, samba and antique, are divided into three types: select, natures and rustic. Select - luxury board category, which is distinguished by a special selection of material. All boards will be selected for tone, color, they are not found even the smallest knots.

This is the most expensive type of board, made of natural wood, and not simulated artificially using 3D printing.

Natur - standard flooring, which may include a slight difference in color and tone. You will not see any defects on it, but small knots are allowed. Wood can be used both as a radial cut (rings are sawn off from the trunk) and tangential (the log is spread along).

Rustik - the most "informal" type of board, the use of which can turn the floor into the main accent of the room. In it, the slats vary greatly in tone and color, except for large-sized knots, there are also sores. But with all these features, it is the rustic that is very popular.

How to care?

Methods of care for floorboard vary depending on what this board is covered. However, according to Tarkett specialists, the main adverse factors affecting the appearance of any product are sand and water. The first leaves scratches on the floor, the second causes delamination of the board. Basic care is the same for all types of coverage; it includes:

  • wiping the floor with a damp, soft microfiber cloth or mop with a high level of hygroscopicity and automatic spinning. Any parquet board cannot be washed “in a sailor's way”, a very wet rag is contraindicated even to the floor, in the characteristics of which there is an increased moisture resistance;
  • quick removal of stains from the floor using a soap solution, which is immediately wiped dry with a soft cloth. This will save the hostess from the use of stain removers, which do not very well affect the floorboard;
  • Do not use washing vacuum cleaners, chlorine-based cleaning products, abrasive cleaning agents (powder and brushes).

To prevent sand from falling on the boards, it is recommended to lay not just a rug near the entrance, but a rubber rug with rims that will not allow sand and melt water to be pulled apart over the parquet flooring.

The manufacturer makes the following care recommendations: if your coating has an oil coating (Tango Vintage, Salsa Premium, Samba and others collections), then it needs protection from drying out. In the case of a weekly wet cleaning, it is necessary to renew the coating with white or clear oil once a month.

If wet cleaning is done less often, you can apply oil every two months. Regular application of oil will help protect the board not only from drying out, but also from exposure to UV rays. For example, those models that are not covered by a special protective composition, darken under the influence of direct sunlight.

When laying maple and beech, it is better to wax the joints, polish it with a wool cloth and leave to dry for half a day. Wet cleaning after this treatment is recommended. only 10 days later.

If the board is lacquered, then clean it with a spray provided by the manufacturer. Spray spray can be either directly on the floor or on a rag. To protect the factory varnish, you can apply a protective agent on the floor.

Examples and options

The Tarkett board of multi-component colors looks original. For example, in a room with a minimalist modern design, it becomes the main accent of the room. Having such a board on the floor, you can not care that the white or pearl walls will resemble an operating room. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to add details to the interior that will echo in color with the floorboard. Accessories can be bright ethnic and bright urban.

When drawing up the design of the room, keep in mind that a wide single plank board reveals its potential in a large room. For small rooms it is better to choose a three-lane board.

Board of nature fits perfectly into the interior rustic country style. The designer made an emphasis on the floor, choosing a warm shade of coating in the general cold interior, but due to the smoothness of colors, the furniture on its background is not lost, but on the contrary, it is well emphasized.

Dark brushed wenge board is perfectly combined with light-colored furniture and large panoramic windows, as well as in the style of the classics.

Rustic board gives warmth and comfort even to the most strict interior. She is able to "domesticate" any office space, so is ideal for flooring in the offices. The main thing is not to use too bright tone when finishing the room in the classical and neoclassical style. Otherwise there is a risk of overloading the space.
