 Features of ACV brand boilers

Today it is difficult to imagine a house without hot water. Modern technologies allow to equip housing and create comfort in it with minimal costs. So, if on your site there is no centralized heating, then you can install a boiler in the room to heat water. On the modern market there are many models of such devices, but ACV brand water heaters are particularly popular.

Special features

The Belgian company ACV has been developing, manufacturing and selling equipment for hot water supply for over 40 years. During this time, the firm has firmly strengthened its position in the market of industrial and domestic equipment for heating.

ACV products are distinguished for their high quality, durability and reliability. Due to the unique author's production technologies, boilers are characterized by unsurpassed performance characteristics. Also, in comparison with water heaters of other brands, this equipment loses much less heat.

This is due to the fact that the upper layer of the tank is made of rigid polyurethane foam - a material with minimal permeability and thermal conductivity. The plane of the tank is heated evenly, which allows to increase the productivity of the boiler 2 times.

Due to the fact that heating occurs evenly, scale does not form on the inner walls of the tank, and bacteria do not reproduce. At the same time ACV water heaters are extremely easy to use and do not require frequent maintenance. The only disadvantage of the Belgian equipment is the high cost (relative to other brands of boilers).

The volume of boilers is from 5 to 10,000 liters. Depending on the type of attachment, they are floor, wall, combined and horizontal. Boilers can be mounted even under the ceiling. This is a great solution for small apartments.

Adjustment and adjustment of equipment is carried out with the help of thermostats, temperature sensors, heating limiters. The performance of the boiler is directly dependent on the size of the tank, the type of coolant and the heat transfer surface.

Species

The boiler heats the water with a heat exchanger. As it will use gas, solar radiation, wood, electricity and other sources. The most popular 3 types of water heaters ACV.

Gas

For their operation, liquefied or natural gas is used. The design of the boiler is a large container, in the lower part of which there is an open or closed combustion chamber. Water is heated by contact with a heat exchanger, which is heated by gas.

Before installing such a boiler, it is necessary to prepare a ventilation system, as well as a complex for removing combustion products.

Some more expensive gas boiler models are additionally equipped with overheating, smoke sensors and other signaling systems to ensure safety. The upper level of the tank temperature is + 85С. Power ranges from 1.5 to 27 kW. The approximate cost of the goods - from 10,000 rubles.

Electric

Water is heated by a tubular electric heater. Such models are quite simple and easy to use, however, they need systematic maintenance and regular replacement of consumables (magnesium anode, non-return valve, etc.). Such equipment is controlled mechanically or electronically. Each boiler is equipped with overheating protection. The cost of such equipment is minimal (from 2000 rubles).

Indirect

Unlike the previous 2 options, this type has a more complex structure and principle of operation. The external contour of the indirect heating boiler ACV is powered by the boiler coolant or the central heating system. Water is heated in the internal circuit through a heat exchanger.

Since the circulation in the boiler is continuous, the water always corresponds to the set temperature. Water heaters are equipped with steel, copper, brass or stainless steel heat exchangers. The power of the equipment is 3-112 kW, the approximate price is 10,000 rubles.

Models and their technical characteristics

The boilers of the Belgian brand work on the author's technology. It implies the concept of combining containers. The outer tank is made of stainless steel and contains coolant. The inner tank with undulating walls is also steel. It contains water or sanitary fluid.

Due to such a device, the contact area of cold and hot water becomes maximum, which means that the productivity of the equipment increases.

There are 2 types of ACV boilers for domestic use.

Comfort

This model of water heaters is mounted in 2 positions: vertical and horizontal. The design provides for a recirculation pipe and integrated thermostat. The capacity of the water tank is 100-240 liters, the maximum heating temperature is + 90 ° C, the heating time is 20-25 minutes, power is 23-53 kW, and capacity is up to 660 l / h.

Installation of equipment is carried out using a special mounting kit, which is sold separately. The total cost of the boiler depends on its size and additional options. For example, the basic configuration of the ACV Comfort 100 water heater with a 100-liter tank and a power of 23 kW will cost 28,000 rubles. The mounting kit increases this amount.

Smart Line combined boilers are mounted on the wall or on the floor. The volume of the tank is 130-420 liters, power - 23-88 kW, capacity - from 560 l / h, heating time - about 25 minutes, working pressure - 3-10 bar.

This model is divided into several subspecies: SLE, SLEW, STD, which differ in their cost and technical characteristics. For example, boilers of the STD series differ in the increased productivity. The cost of water heaters of the Smart Line range ranges from 65,000 to 79,000 rubles. The price is for the basic package.

In addition to the boiler, you can purchase a tubular heating element, a mixing valve and other parts at any dealer center.

How to choose?

  • The main parameter on which to rely when choosing a suitable boiler is the required volume of heated water. It can be calculated in a simple way: about 50 liters of water per day are used per family member. Therefore, for a family of 3 people need a tank with a capacity of at least 150-200 liters. It is also important to take into account the lifestyle of people.
  • It is also important to consider the intensity with which the equipment will be used. If the water heater will work all year round, it is better to purchase a more productive model with built-in heating elements. For seasonal use, you can get by with more simple budget options. Also, when choosing a boiler, pay attention to the safety of the device.
  • In general, customer feedback on products of the Belgian manufacturer are positive. The main obstacle in choosing such a water heater is the high price (in comparison with other manufacturers). But if you compare the cost with the shelf life and technical indicators of boilers, the amount does not seem so big.
