ROSTERM radiators: features and characteristics

Not all heaters are equally useful. The modifications presented on the Russian market differ from each other, and each brand tries to stand out with its original products. Steel panel radiators of heating “ROSTERM” stand out favorably in comparison with other brands and provide stable heating even in the most difficult situations.

Steel radiators, made according to the panel scheme, are highly valued due to their low cost and compactness. Additional dimensions can be reduced only when using batteries made of copper in pure form or in combination with aluminum. In this case, importantly, the demonstrated thermal efficiency is very high.But the specificity of the metal itself and panel blocks leads to the fact that such heating devices are only suitable for completing closed heating circuits. That is, those where there is either a hermetic expansion tank (in a private dwelling) or an independent connection to the central highway with autonomous preparation of water.

Depending on what power is considered desirable by designers, use from 1 to 3 heating panels. They are complemented by collectors: hot water flows through the upper one, and cooled liquid is concentrated in the lower one and returns. The design allows the installation of plates responsible for convection, directly between the panels. For the formation of plates used steel of negligible thickness (average 0.5 mm). Attaching such elements is achieved by spot welding, additional manipulation is fully justified by an increase in thermal efficiency of at least 40%.

The extent to which a panel radiator will be reliable is largely determined by the technical perfection of obtaining heating plates that form the panels themselves. The complexity of the production is so high, and the required characteristics are so significant that the process had to be presented to the robots.During tests at the factory, each panel is tested under greater pressure than that provided for operation. Such strict control eliminates the ingress of deliberately low-quality goods to the consumer.

The classification of steel radiators made according to the panel scheme is determined by the difference in their design and depth.

ROSTERM has adopted the following notation:

• 10 - the only panel;
• 11 is the same, but with ribs that increase the heat output;
• 12 (sometimes 21) - a pair of panels delimited by a convective unit;
• 22 - two heating planes and twin ribs;
• 33 - further development of the 22nd version with three working parts and with three plates.

In most cases, wall placement is provided., but the designers also took care of the fixings that allow you to install the batteries on the floor. Installation on the wall is done by adding brackets connected to the previously installed brackets. The size of the radiator is directly dictated by the number of panels mounted.So, if there is only one panel, the depth is 6-6.5 cm, and if all three are installed - already from 15.2 to 16 cm.

It is worth noting that the variation in height is more significant, it is already 30-90 cm. And even more the difference in width, basic configurations vary in the range of 40-300 cm. The exact selection of power is possible taking into account the manufacturer's recommendations for a particular thermal regime . Unfortunately, no technological perfection and adherence to the production methods allow us to eliminate the tendency of steel to corrosion.

It should be borne in mind that the recommended indicators of acid-base balance of water entering the heating system range from 8 to 9.5. Valve inserts are designed for a total pressure of 10 bar with changes of no more than 1 bar.

ROSTERM radiators are not intended for use in bathrooms, swimming pools, greenhouses, greenhouses and other similar places. Installing them in a room with high humidity automatically terminates the warranty. It is required that the diagonal distances be strictly the same, otherwise there is a violation of the rules. There is no burrs on the side edges and joints. Acceptable hydrostatic test duration is 300 seconds.
