What is "Vibroflor": a review of the material for sound insulation

 What is Vibroflor: A Soundproofing Material Review

Sound insulation material "Vibroflor" is a thin, about 4 mm, pad of polyester fiber of primary processing, necessary for protection from temperature extremes, moisture and absorption of loud noises and noises when walking.

Special features

The main features are the following characteristics.

  • Environmental friendliness and absolute safety. Due to the absence of impurities, there is no release of caustic dust that causes itching and irritation on the skin.
  • Durability, strength and biological stability.
  • Versatility and ease of use.
  • Ease of installation.
  • High sound insulation.
  • Reduced vibration transmission.
  • Persistence Over time, "Vibroflor" does not crumble and does not lose its properties, unlike materials such as cork or foam.
  • Improves operational properties of a floor by a large number of characteristics.
  • Air and vapor resistance, and, as a result, the absence of the so-called greenhouse effect under the floor covering.
  • Low cost relative to other materials.

Composition

"Vibroflor" is absolutely safe for humans due to the absence of numerous binding additives.

The structure includes the following components:

  • polymer composition;
  • polyester fiber;
  • low molecular weight binder.

Instructions for use

Sound insulation material "Vibroflor" is used in the form of vibroplate under the laminate or parquet boards. Be sure to perform the following sequential steps:

  • clean and level the base, get rid of bumps;
  • lay soundproofing substrate on the prepared surface;
  • check whether the material is lying tight, there should be no joints and side overlaps;
  • for good fixation, it is better to mount using superstrong building glue along the perimeter;
  • all seams must be sealed with mounting tape;
  • check that the material fits tightly with all elements coming out of the floor;
  • lay the perimeter tape with an adhesive layer, preventing the formation of acoustic bridges;
  • lay the final coating on top, cut the remnants of the perimeter tape after laying;
  • gently attach the baseboard to the wall, avoiding contact with the flooring;
  • Using an elastic sealant to isolate the baseboard from the floor.

Using

When repairing the main task is the correct calculation of the parameters of sound insulation taking into account impact noise. This problem is solved with the help of the Vibroflor noise-insulating gasket, which provides the necessary insulation performance.

Floating screed reliably and effectively protects the room from noise, surpassing the ceilings in performance.

Reviews

The substrate "Vibroflor" has a large number of positive reviews. Users are attracted by the budget and quality characteristics of this material, the efficiency of transportation and the ability to perform installation work independently, without spending extra money on the master.

Polyester backing is becoming increasingly popular, especially among residents of panel houses.
