White brick house: beautiful design options

White brick is a relatively inexpensive, affordable and popular building material. The light facades erected from it impress with their solemn grace. Small buildings made of light material seem larger and more significant.

Kinds

The white color is elegant and festive, it has shades of cream, ivory, beige, which brings variety and tenderness to the bright facades of houses. In addition to all sorts of shades, white bricks are divided by appearance, weight, size and purpose.

To destination

There are two main types of white stone used at different stages of construction: silicate and clinker.

  • Silicate - working version of bricks, which lay the outer and inner walls of houses.But they look so elegant that many leave facades without cladding.
  • Clinker is a decorative material for cladding buildings. In addition to white, it has a rich color gamut, has a smaller size and exemplary appearance. With his participation, the house looks beautiful and complete.

To facilitate construction, special bricks are produced, they look like half or a quarter of the standard version. There are models for the erection of arches (rib wedge, face wedge).

To size

The size and texture of bricks also has a different classification, their difference lies in the height of the model:

  • single - 250x125x65 mm;
  • one and a half - 250x125x88 mm;
  • double - 250x125x138 mm.

With the help of bricks, the height of which is more standard, you can build a house much faster.

By weight

A single solid brick weighs 3.7 kg, it is larger than red in size and weight. This is a rather heavy material, it is used to build one-story or two-story buildings. In order not to overload the foundation, hollow brick (with holes in the cavity) is used for higher structures. Hollow models also come in several forms: with a volume of voids of total body weight - 15, 25 and 30%.

When buying should pay attention to the texture and quality of the building material.Increased battle should alert the buyer.

White clinker

Silicate brick worker has a good density. The building constructed from such material is endowed with all the necessary qualities for people to live in it. The house is strong, durable, retains heat, protects from noise and environmental influences. But for complete completeness and aesthetic appearance he lacks an elegant lining. White clinker brick is an excellent facing material.

The perfectly smooth and smooth surface is ensured by the low porosity of the stone.

In contrast to the silicate brick clinker almost does not absorb moisture. This feature makes it resistant to the environment, it does not respond to precipitation, frost and icing.

Due to the high technical characteristics of facing stone, the decoration of buildings is impeccable. The exact geometry, accurate shape, the absence of scratches and chipping of the corners meet the most exaggerated requirements for appearance.

The models of facing bricks, imitating chips and reliefs, have the same ideal angles and contour lines as standard clinker.

It looks great building with brown window frames, lined with white decorative brick. Such buildings resemble the projects of the English village houses.

Facing with clinker saves a working brick from destruction and retains an attractive appearance of the building for many years.

White silicate brick

Cheap and effective building material. Make it out of sand, lime, with a little addition of additives. High-temperature technology makes it possible to melt sand, turning it into a glassy mass. Such a process allows the material to acquire a special density, twice the rate of the red stone.

In addition to density, silicate brick has many other positive qualities:

  • it easily withstands increased loads;
  • in contrast to the red brick optimally retains heat;
  • has beautiful appearance and steady color on which allocation of salts and dust formation are almost imperceptible;
  • the material is made from environmentally friendly components, which allows you to feel comfortable in such buildings;
  • it is frost-resistant, has good sound insulation;
  • the cost of white brick is lower than red;
  • it is an excellent building material for both load-bearing walls and internal partitions; concrete slabs can be installed on it (which is not recommended to be done using cinder block material).

The disadvantages include low resistance to moisture. Therefore, building a house of white brick, the ground floor will have to be built of red. Such material is not suitable for the construction of cesspools, basements, underground utilities, wells, all structures that may have direct contact with water or precipitation. The underground part of the house must be separated from the living area by waterproofing. Poor moisture resistance can be solved by well-designed ventilation and an efficient heating system.

In addition, silicate bricks are not used in places with direct contact fire (stoves, barbecues, fireplaces).

White stone is less durable than red. But he has his advantages. In terms of masonry volume, silicate is more advantageous in price. Calculate laying easy. A cubic meter contains 340 pieces of white brick (the solution is taken into account) or 410 red. This difference is typical not only for the price of the material, but also for the concentration of efforts with which the building will be built.

Beautiful options for the design of brick houses

White buildings look elegant and festive, but the addition of a different color adds to the structure of brightness and creates a certain style. Brick houses came from the distant past, many historical styles are reflected in modern buildings.

Roofs and a balcony, framed by carved forging, majestic steps, columns and smooth lines of architecture give the structure a regal look.
